Saturday Song – Soon and Very Soon

Soon and Very Soon is a Gospel song by Andrae Crouch. We do sing this at my home parish of St. Edward the Confessor. I am posting it as today’s Saturday Song as this is the last Sunday of the liturgical year, Christ the King. This song is also a reminder that we soon and very soon, we will go to see the King for Christmas!

  1. That’s a good one! Music is so powerful. The choir did several from Mary Ramerman’s ordination at the anniversary celebration Thursday night and another group will do several more at Sunday Mass. They really do bring back the memories. “How Can I Keep from Singing?” is Mary’s favorite, I think. I might have to change it to “How Can I Keep From Grinning?”. I’ve been grinning like a possum eating briars all week just thinking about our women priests.

  2. Hi Mary, Thanks for coming by! I love that song too! It is apparent that you found a place to worship that makes your soul sing; I’m glad for that. I feel that way about both my work parish (here) and my home parish of St. Edward the Confessor. And our priests? They make me grin from ear to ear as well!

  3. Not such music where I worship. I should really move to your Parish 🙂
Thank you. The right music to accompany me into Advent!

  4. I was trying to think of the other Andrae Crouch hymn we’ve done at Spiritus. It’s “Through It All”. It’s also on YouTube. Give it a listen.
